MATTHEW 5:17,18

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill [perfect] them. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

Before some of this is misunderstood, consider that some rules fall into disuse although they are still "on the books," so to speak. For example, before indoor plumbing, some communities may have had rules concerning how to obtain water at the town well; with the advent of indoor water supply, no one went to the town well any more and the rules, though still in effect, fell into disuse and were set aside. Some of Yahweh's Torah (which means: guidance, direction and teaching) has fallen into disuse and been set aside because of Messiah's work; to understand what has and what has not been set aside, according to Yahweh, is very, very important!
